Rally is built by a solo founder who plays padel. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
Who we are
Rally is a padel player identity app operated by Rally App. Rally lets you track your padel matches, see your real skill rating, follow your rivals, and compete in challenges with your crew.
If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at privacy@rally.app.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to make Rally work. Here's exactly what that means:
Account info
Your name, email address, and city when you create an account. Used to identify you and personalise your experience.
Match data
Match results you log: scores, date, club, partner names, opponent names, side played, and your self-assessment. This is the core of Rally.
Profile info
Your padel level, preferred playing side, main club, and availability. You set this yourself and can update it anytime.
Rivals & groups
The players you add as rivals or invite to groups. We store H2H records between players who have both consented to use Rally.
Usage data
Basic app usage analytics (screens visited, features used) to help us improve Rally. Never tied to advertising profiles.
Device info
Device type, OS version, and push notification token (if you enable notifications). Used only to deliver the app experience.
We do not collect: payment card numbers (handled by Apple's in-app purchase system), precise GPS location, contacts from your phone, photos (unless you upload a profile picture), or any health/biometric data.
How we use your data
Everything we collect is used to make Rally work for you:
- Calculating your Rally Rating based on match results
- Powering the Rivalry Feed — showing you when your rivals play
- Tracking challenges and Championship Points between players
- Generating your Season Card at the end of each season
- Sending push notifications about rival activity and challenges (only if you enable them)
- Generating AI coaching insights via the Rally Coach feature (your data is processed but not stored by the AI provider beyond the request)
- Improving the app based on how people use it
Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run Rally. We share only the minimum data required:
Supabase
Our database and authentication provider. Stores your account and match data securely. Based in the US. GDPR compliant. supabase.com/privacy
Anthropic
Powers the Rally Coach AI insights. Your match stats are sent to generate coaching insights. Anthropic does not use this data to train models. anthropic.com/privacy
Expo / EAS
Used to deliver push notifications and app updates. expo.dev/privacy
Apple
In-app purchases for Rally Pro are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment card details. apple.com/legal/privacy
We never sell your personal data. We never share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies. Rally has no ads and never will.
Your data, your control
You have full control over your Rally data:
- Edit your profile — update your name, city, club, and preferences anytime from the My Card screen
- Delete a match — swipe left on any match in your history to delete it
- Remove a rival — tap any rival card and choose Remove Rival
- Disable notifications — turn off any notification type in Settings → Notifications
- Export your data — email privacy@rally.app and we'll send you a complete export of all your data within 48 hours
- Delete your account — go to Settings → Delete Account, or email privacy@rally.app. Your data is permanently deleted within 30 days
Data retention
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- Your profile, match history, and rivals are deleted within 30 days
- Anonymised aggregate statistics (e.g. total matches played in NYC this month) may be retained — these cannot be linked back to you
- If you were part of a group, your historical match results within that group are anonymised (your name is replaced with "Deleted user")
Push notifications
Rally sends push notifications only if you explicitly grant permission. We send notifications for: rival match activity, challenge invitations and updates, weekly Rally Coach insights, and rating milestones. You can disable any or all notifications at any time in your iPhone Settings → Notifications → Rally.
Children's privacy
Rally is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created a Rally account, please contact us at privacy@rally.app and we will delete the account immediately.
Data security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase with encryption at rest and in transit. We use row-level security policies to ensure that users can only access their own data. We review our security practices regularly. That said, no internet service is 100% secure — if you have a security concern, please contact us immediately at privacy@rally.app.
International users
Rally is currently available in the United States. If you access Rally from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Rally, you consent to this transfer. We comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR for users in the European Economic Area.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you via push notification or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version. Continuing to use Rally after a policy update means you accept the new policy.
